To allow each school to have a focus specific to its own needs, we encourage teachers and teaching assistants to become ‘lead learners’. Working as equals, the lead learners identify a ‘tipping point’ in their own school related to learning. They carry out action research into that area of interest and then provide feedback to all other schools in the community. In this way, good practice is shared throughout our learning community.

 

Our lead learners have also been trained in coaching techniques so that they can support colleagues on an individual basis.
